This year we went out to Montauk a little earlier than usual. Our cousin got married on the 4th of July so we extended our time back home to include a week out on Long Island. The whole clan came out, at one time or another, and it was nice to see everyone again. Good times, good beer, good fishin', awesome days on the beach, and many many laughs.

The only way to arrive on Long Island, Easthampton airport (GA only)
The Surf Lodge
Back in the day, this was a dump, I mean a real flea bag motel. Now, it's the hippest place on Long Island to be and be seen at. The New York Times did a huge article on it the week we were out, calling it the new "it spot" which really pissed most Montauk locals. Now, around 6 PM, there is a huge wave of Hampton folks that come up by train to pay $12 a drink in the hopes that they can hook up with a Vanderbilt or some trust-fund brat: you should have seen all the hooch wear out that night, sans panties of course!

Here it is, lucky for us we got parking up front. The local cops were ticketing cars all over for parking illegally! Guess they have to make their quota some how eh?

Welcome to Easthampton! $12 a drink, and $600 for Cristal!

Dinner Time

The local market in Easthampton, Dee flipping me off!

Sunsets from the upper deck were amazing, Jessica gets lucky with a wet one!
The Beach

Charlie loved the beach, we had a great time with him. Gabriella and Selena made me into a merman, something they did everyday. We are taking Gabriella home to San Diego next week and will pop in at the Aquarium I used to work at, she is looking forward to that and Sea World with my parents (where she will be treated like the super VIP she is.)
Fishing

Ah, night fishing at Ditch Plains. Caught jack squat but we had fun, and got realllly smashed in the process! All the older cousins headed out with uncle Brian, you can see the sea mist in the picture. The next day we hit the surf for Strippers, again, no go with keepers.

Leaving Montauk Harbor

Fishin' in style, Captain bad-ass Seabass!

Dee and her bad-ass halibut (fluke as the east coaster fisherman say), our deck-hand Bear. Not the friendliest guy but sure knew his junk regarding fishin'!
